The boys in the development lab down in Florida needed motivation. I only left them to their own devices for a month, just to travel around to the various retail locations and ensure proper dedication there, and I return to find garbage all over their tables, the wires of those annoying game consoles tracing between their beakers and a rather bittersweet smoke trickling out of the storage closet. The new one was stupid enough to give me some speech about all that helping them be more creative as the rest of them stood at attention and did their best to get him to shut up. Needless to say, the idiot was fired on the spot and I wish him good luck at convincing any cosmetics laboratory in the country to hire him.
And now... Anna, my dear assistant, has alerted me to very sneaky whispers that are circling here in New York, at the head offices. Some of the weaker souls are conspiring to form a union. Heads will roll. Figurately, of course, as, unfortunately, the old ways are long dead.
The wrinkles around my eyes have returned. I believe, after a few hours of making them regret the day they even heard the word 'union', a nice, long bath would be beneficial.
